Dr. Radmil Polenakovikj

Prof. Dr. Radmil Polenakovikj is a full-time professor on Entrepreneurship & Small Business Management, Innovation Management, Project Management, etc., at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (FME), Ss. Cyril and Methodius University (UKIM) in Skopje. Currently he is a Head of the Institute for Production Engineering and Management. He has published more than 330 bibliographical units. His main activities are in the area of development of Macedonian entrepreneurial and innovation eco-system, SME growth support, youth employability and recently, green transition activities / projects. He participated in the development of National Strategy for Entrepreneurial Learning 2014-2020, National Cluster strategy 2018-2025, Regional Innovation strategies for Macedonian planning regions, National Development Strategy 2024-2044, etc. Dr. Polenakovikj was involved in development of curriculum, textbooks and professional teacher trainings for courses related to innovation and entrepreneurship in primary and secondary education. He was part of more than 130 projects (60 as a team leader) supported by: EU, OECD, World Bank, ADA, USAID, GIZ, UNDP, UNIDO, Macedonian institutions. Part of his work is directly related to consulting services in Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Romania, Moldova, Ukraine, Ethiopia, Tunisia, Morocco, Azerbaijan, etc. Polenakovikj is leading University Business Start-Up Centre and Faculty Career Center (from 2006) and National Center for Development of Innovation & Entrepreneurial Learning (since 2009) that supported creation of more than 60 start-ups. In 2021 Polenakovikj supported establishment of the Centre for Vocational Excellence for Green Innovation at FME-UKIM. He is a member of the European Academy of Sciences & Arts.
